Some companions stay with us for years. Others leave memories that stay forever.

A photograph fades into a phone. A portrait in silk stays on the wall, catches the light, and can be touched. It becomes the place your family stops to remember.

Why families commission

For every chapter of a life together

In memory

For the companion who is no longer at your feet, but is still in every room. A lasting tribute your family can hold.

In celebration

For the one who greets you at the door every day. Honour them now, while they are here to sit beside it.

As a gift

For the person who loves their animal more than anything. The present they will never forget receiving.

The craft

Not painted. Not printed. Threaded.

Each piece is sketched onto canvas, then built entirely by hand from thousands of individual strands of silk. Layer by layer, the thread finds the softness of fur, the shine in an eye, the expression only you would recognise.

Handmade in Accra

From our studio in Ghana to your home.

Every portrait is made by hand in David’s studio in Accra, Ghana, by David himself, using silk sourced in Accra. Each piece carries the care of the people who made it, and the city it was made in.

Threading is an ancestral African technique that was close to disappearing. David spent a year learning it from master craftsmen, and every commission helps keep the craft alive.

When it’s finished, it travels from Accra to your door, wherever you are in the world.
